Non-Virginia Tech Student Registration
Virginia Tech welcomes visiting students who wish to enroll for any Winter Session course. A visiting student is defined as individuals not seeking a degree at Virginia Tech.
First, keep in mind that the deadline to apply as a visiting student for Winter Session 2024 is December 15, 2023.
Second, apply for Winter Session enrollment, by completing the Winter Session Application. (Please note, there will be a nonrefundable application fee of $25 added to your Winter Session tuition charges.)
Third, you will receive an email within 2 to 4 business days providing instructions for creating your Virginia Tech Personal Identifier (PID) or a request for more information. You will then register for classes following these "Current Virginia Tech Student Registration" directions.
Please direct all questions to: winter@vt.edu. The University offices are closed December 23, 2023 through January 2, 2024. Emails will be monitored during this time, but may be delayed. All visiting students are required to follow all academic and student life rules and regulations of Virginia Tech while enrolled in any of the Winter Session course offerings.
