Out of Office
The Office of Summer and Winter Sessions will be closed December 24 - January 1.
If you have questions, please send them to winter@vt.edu. Emails will be answered intermittently throughout the winter break period. Please allow 48 hours for a response to an inquiry from our office. No responses will be provided on the following days: December 24, 25, 31 and January 1. Our office will reopen 8:00 am January 4.
Student Withdrawal/Resignation
Students wishing to drop all classes may WITHDRAW through the first day of classes. Students who withdraw prior to December 24 must complete the student withdrawal/resignation form and submit to the Office of the University Registrar. The form may be secured from this link:
Withdrawal/Resignation requests that occur between December 24 and January 1 may be forwarded to winter@vt.edu from your Virginia Tech email account. Messages from non-Virginia Tech email accounts will not be honored. Your request will be processed (after January 1) based upon the time stamp and receipt of the email. For example, if you request to withdraw from a course December 26, this date will be honored, but processed after January 1.
All requests after January 1 should be forwarded to the Office of the University Registrar by completing the form at this link:
